The Stone is, as the name suggests, predestined for fishing with stone mounts (or bottom mounts in general). Its soft tip action leads to a semi-parabolic action with a very strong backbone. The very thick-walled blank is responsible for this. Such a blank concept for two-piece rods can only be achieved by splitting the rod above the handle. This concept originates from the marine sector. We already used it for the Vertical Spin. With The Stone, too, we wanted to develop a slim blank with a low dead weight and enormous robustness in addition to the ideal action. Anyone who experiences this catfish rod in action for the first time will confirm that we have succeeded. The softer tip allows the lure to be sucked in very well and ensures ideal bite detection. You can use The Stone very well for slagline fishing by leaving the line slack when fishing with the stone mount instead of tightening it hard, as used to be the case. This prevents the current and the wind from creating turbulence and noise in the main line, which is often carried to the bait. Of course, you can also use The Stone for mid-range casting up to 150 metres. Long range fishing at several hundred metres is also no problem in combination with stone mounts.
