Zeck Spinner-Rushka (Baitfish)

Johannes Dietel came up with the idea of applying the Rushka quick-change principle to an underspin as well. The result is the Spinner-Rushka. Because you can simply twist the hook in, you can change your trailers in the blink of an eye. By the way, trailers are soft plastic lures that should always be fished in combination with the Spinner-Rushka. The Spinner-Rushka is a jig head with a spinner blade that runs beneath the rubber lure—essentially a booster for soft plastics. Since all predatory fish, and of course pike, respond well to this lure, the Rushka snap on the Spinner-Rushka is particularly sturdy. Even during intense fights, the hook stays firmly in place. Depending on conditions, you can easily reel in the Spinner-Rushka with a rubber lure at various depths. Spinning stops can work wonders here. But conventional jigging is also effective. A willow-leaf spinner was deliberately chosen because it does not hinder the action of the rubber lure and also allows for fishing at greater depths.

As with all products developed by Zeck in collaboration with Johannes Dietel, lead was not used in the construction. Bismuth has a density similar to lead. Another affordable lead alternative would be zamak. However, zamak has a significantly lower density than lead, which would make the lures unnecessarily large, resulting in poor swimming action. Tungsten would have made the Spinner-Rushka significantly more expensive, and for the smaller sizes, there wouldn’t have been enough volume to create a functional head shape. The extra cost compared to lead is quickly forgotten when you consider that, thanks to the great flexibility in hook sizes, you don’t need too many lures to fish flexibly. The wire gauge of the Spinner-Rushka snap was chosen so that you can use nearly all hooks suitable for fishing for perch, zander, and other species.
