The Westin Multi-Purpose Stinger Semi-Barbed is a replaceable stinger for deadbait rigs, designed for a high hook-up rate while offering slightly gentler handling. It is aimed at pike anglers who rely on effective, controlled bait presentation with dead bait fish, even in heavily fished waters.

Construction and material
Made from 30 lb, 7-strand steel wire, the stinger offers reliable protection against sharp pike teeth while remaining flexible enough to allow the bait fish to move naturally. Camouflage-coloured crimp sleeves secure all connections and ensure a discreet appearance in the water. An extra-strong, ultra-sharp semi-barbed treble hook is mounted at the end. The reduced barbs ensure a secure hold in the fish's mouth, but make it easier to remove the hook when unhooking and handling, without negatively affecting the hooking properties.

Snap ring system and area of application
The integrated snap ring allows the stinger to be quickly attached to or replaced on the leader. Worn or damaged hooks can thus be replaced without having to re-tie the entire rig, which significantly extends the life of the rig. The Multi-Purpose Stinger Semi-Barbed is designed for fishing with dead bait fish and can be placed flexibly in the back, flank or tail root area, depending on the size of the bait. This allows the presentation to be specifically adapted to the bait format and bite behaviour – a clear advantage when cautious pike are hesitant to attack the bait.
