The Westin Multi-Purpose Rig Semi-Barbed is a ready-made double treble hook rig for fishing with dead bait fish, designed for high bite rates and slightly gentler hooking properties. It is aimed at predator anglers who value modern, reliable deadbait rigs with efficient bait presentation in heavily fished waters.

Structure and hook concept
Like the classic Multi-Purpose Rig, the Semi-Barbed version also features a double treble hook construction that allows flexible placement of the hooks on the bait fish. The treble hooks used are extra strong, very sharp and semi-barbed, with reduced barbs. This allows the hooks to penetrate securely, but makes them easier to remove in a controlled manner compared to hooks with pronounced barbs. The multi-purpose stingers are connected to the leader via snap rings and can be quickly replaced if necessary. This allows worn or damaged hooks to be replaced without having to replace the entire leader, which significantly increases the service life of the system.

Material and camouflage
The leader is made of 30 lb, 7-strand steel wire, which provides reliable protection against bites and remains dimensionally stable even when fighting powerful pike. Camouflage-coloured crimp sleeves secure the connections between the wire, swivels and hooks, while also ensuring an inconspicuous appearance in the water. The combination of sturdy yet flexible wire material and clean workmanship allows for the secure rigging of bait fish of various sizes without unnecessarily restricting their natural presentation.
