The Sahara spinning reel range combines a modern design with many of Shimano’s best technologies. Thanks to the G-Free Body, you can enjoy superb balance even when using it with the lightest of the light spinning rods.

When fitting the largest model (5000) to a feeder rod, you’ll notice not only the extra power provided by the direct-drive handle, but also the casting performance achieved by the AR-C spool with Varispeed II oscillation. When it comes to ultra-finesse applications, the 500 or 1000 sizes are exactly the right choice. For light and medium-heavy spin fishing, float fishing and light feeder fishing, the medium-sized 2000, 2500 and 3000 models. The 4000 is an excellent reel for heavy spin fishing, but is also very well suited to medium-heavy feeder fishing. The 5000 series is the workhorse of the Sahara range. The choice is yours!
