Sensas Set of sieve + bait box
The white Sensas bait box is the first choice for storing large mosquito larvae while fishing. The large sieve insert is used to separate live, active mosquito larvae from dead or weakened larvae.
The bait box is filled with water so that the sieve insert is about 5–10 mm under water. About 30 minutes before fishing, place the mosquito larvae intended as hook bait on the sieve. The most vigorous larvae will gradually crawl through the sieve into the water. This process takes a while, so it is important to start early enough. Another ingenious side effect of this white box is that the mosquito larvae turn a bright ruby red after a short time. This is probably due to the bright environment inside the tin. This colour change has a very positive effect on the fish's biting behaviour. The white tin heats up much more slowly than dark tins in summer and therefore does not heat up the water for the mosquito larvae as quickly. This usually saves you from having to change the water frequently while fishing. The small sieve is used to revive the smaller, severely weakened bloodworm larvae. This works particularly well with Polish bloodworm larvae. These should then be stored as dry as possible in a cloth or newspaper. Size PM with a volume of 0.6 litres. Set consists of two sieves and a bait tin.
