Daiwa 23 SS AIR 8.5L

The SS is particularly suitable for finesse fishing and for very light lures from approx. 3.5 g to 12 g. The Hyperdrive design combines various construction elements that significantly improve the load capacity, the run and the service life. The Hyper Armed Housing made of magnesium ensures torsion-resistant and safe storage of the gear. The Hyperdrive Digigear is even stronger due to the larger teeth in the drive wheel and offers silky smooth running. The special Hyper Tough Clutch freewheel lever has been designed so that it does not kick back unintentionally during strong casts. The Hyper Double Support on the Pinion gearbox with ball bearings on both sides of the spool ensures better bearing and better power transmission from the crank to the drive wheel. The Air spool made of G1 Dual Aluminium starts up immediately even with low lure weights and ensures long casting distances on finesse lures. The Zero Adjuster of the mechanical spool brake is preset for optimum casting distances (it is recommended not to change this setting). The whole reel can be easily cleaned under lukewarm running water and is suitable for use in saltwater.
