Catfish fishing in Germany is becoming increasingly popular. You don’t necessarily need a boat or have to cast far. Zeck developed the Homezone specifically for these “everyday” German conditions. The guides are similar to those on a long-cast saltwater spinning rod. The design deliberately features fewer, but larger, guides. This allows the strong braided line to glide through even more smoothly when you need to cast your rig. The blank is extremely light, and the front section in particular is very soft. This ensures that even the most subtle bites are clearly detected, and fighting fish in the “standard size” range of 1 m to 1.50 m is incredibly fun. At the same time, with over 20 kg of lifting power, the blank still has enough reserves to tire out a monster catfish—even from a boat or in fast-flowing waters. This catfish rod is securely packaged and delivered in a high-quality rod case. NOTE: You should not compare the casting weight specification of the Homezone with the WG specifications of Zeck’s other catfish pole rods. Here, the casting weight has been deliberately specified so that you can still fully follow through with the Homezone. You can still carefully cast larger baits. If Zeck had rated the Homezone in the same style as their other fixed rods, they would have listed it with a casting weight of about 300g.
