The Ballistic Air from DAIWA impresses with its low weight and exceptionally smooth, sensitive action. The MQ gear construction with extra-large drive gear ensures optimum power transmission and high load capacity – ideal for fishing with light tackle while still providing sufficient power reserves. The torsion-resistant Zaion reel body guarantees stable gear mounting and permanently smooth running, while the CNC-milled aluminium gear ensures maximum durability. The Airdrive design concept shifts the centre of gravity downwards thanks to the lightweight, torsion-resistant Airdrive rotor made of Zaion V – for better balance and greater sensitivity. The particularly lightweight Airdrive spool further reduces the front weight and enables greater casting distances thanks to the optimised casting edge. The virtually friction-free Airdrive shaft ensures a direct feel for the bait. The Airdrive bail minimises line tangles – especially in crosswinds or with thin braided lines. The ATD Type-L drag ensures smooth line release without high initial resistance. Thanks to the MagSealed construction on the axle, the ingress of salt water and dirt is reliably prevented – for long-lasting smooth running and sensitivity. The PC (Power Custom) models have a larger reel body than the LT versions and are optimally designed for heavier lures and higher loads.
