Balzer Adrenalin DCT 7300

In collaboration with Norwegian fishing expert Rainer Korn, Balzer has developed a reel specifically for targeted fishing for coalfish, hake and mackerel. The reel is equipped with BALZER Depth Control Technology (DCT for short). The electronic DEPTH CONTROL TECHNOLOGY system enables you to return to your desired water depth time and time again. When you get a bite, briefly press the DCT button. A beep confirms that the depth has been saved. When you lower the bait again, a beep will sound once you have reached the saved depth. This allows you to precisely locate the spot where you previously had a bite. This is an invaluable advantage when fishing for shoaling fish such as coalfish, hake, mackerel etc., which are usually found in mid-water. If the shoal is no longer at the saved position and you find fish at a different depth, simply press the DCT button and the new depth will be updated and saved. Pollock love fast-moving lures. That’s why the reel has an ultra-high-speed gear ratio of 8.0:1!

Rainer’s tip: Spool the reel with Ironline Multicolor, which changes colour every 10 metres. If the fish finder shows fish at, say, 50 metres, lower the lure and count 5 colour changes on the line. Then press the DCT button. You’re now at the correct depth and can find it again and again thanks to the DCT. Powered by 2 CR 2032 batteries (included).
