Sebastian Hänel has found that this soft plastic lure system (even when jigging normally) often results in significantly more bites compared to a standard jig hook. When fishing in rocky areas, you don’t need to worry about getting snagged more often. As with standard jig heads, it’s usually just the jig head that gets caught, not the hook itself. The treble hook also doesn’t cause much more damage in the fish’s mouth than a single hook. With smaller zander, you even have the advantage that the eyes can no longer be pierced from the inside by large jig hooks.
