Zeck Pro-Bell
Zeck spent a great deal of time thinking about bite indicators—or, more specifically, “the perfect bell.” What should it look like? What features should it have? They didn’t want to carry just any old bell in their lineup—one that flies off when a fish strikes or whose clasp might give out after just a few uses. After various sketches and 3D prototypes, the Pro-Bell was finally created. It consists of two parts. The base can be attached either to the rod tip or further down the blank. The mount, along with the rubber rings of varying sizes, provides the necessary flexibility. The angler can freely choose the bell’s position on the rod according to personal preference. However, it is recommended to mount the base opposite a rod guide, as the guide’s ribs will provide the bell with even more support during a strike and prevent the Pro-Bell from twisting. The base plate can remain mounted on the rod at all times. After casting or setting the line, all you need to do is slide the carriage with the double bell from top to bottom into the guide. This is quick and child’s play. The Pro-Bell now sits rock-solid on the blank but can be easily removed during the fight by simply pulling it upward. A standard glow stick (with a diameter of 4.5 mm) can be attached to both the upper and lower ends. This helps with bite detection, and you can also find the bell at night if, for example, it is removed after the strike and tossed next to the rod rest. Includes 3 small + 3 large mounting rings.
