The Floating Net Pro is the ideal landing net for all waders, belly boaters, and kayakers. But even if you’re a regular shore angler, you should take a closer look at it. The handle length of the Floating Net Pro was deliberately made slightly longer than that of conventional “floating landing nets.” Thanks to the folding mechanism, this was easily achievable. The handle is still short enough to ensure ideal handling in or on the water. At the same time, however, you can still land fish easily from the bank in many situations. Between the sturdy aluminum frame of the landing net head and the net, foam is incorporated and enclosed in durable polyester (the area with the ZECK logos). This, combined with the very lightweight carbon rod and its non-slip EVA grip, ensures that the entire landing net floats in the water.
The EVA coating at the end of the rod not only ensures that the Floating Net Pro floats better, but also provides you with better handling when netting. As a bank angler, you can easily attach the super-lightweight Floating Net Pro to your belt or bag using the sturdy metal clip on the handle. This also works for wading anglers with a backpack, of course, if you don’t want to pull the Floating Net Pro behind you in the water using Zeck’s Spiral Cord. Alternatively, you can sling the landing net over your shoulder using the removable and adjustable carrying strap. Of course, you can also use the swivel ring at the end of the handle or the eyelet above the metal clip to attach the Floating Net Pro to a magnetic clip, for example.
When fishing from a belly boat, kayak, or inflatable boat, etc., we recommend using the rear eyelet to attach a Spiral Cord, with the other end secured to your boat. This ensures the landing net can never be lost or drift away. Thanks to the special folding mechanism, the Floating Net Pro remains securely fixed during transport and the landing net head stays firmly locked in place. Nevertheless, you can easily get the landing net ready for use. This works even if you only have one hand free during a fight. The landing net head, of course, locks securely into place when unfolded.
The net of the
Floating Net Pro S is rubber-coated (gentle on the catch & hooks don’t get stuck in it easily) and has a mesh size of 6 mm. This protects the fins, and weights, for example, can’t just slip through. Thanks to the net’s depth, even pike up to one meter in length can fit inside in the best-case scenario. However, the head size is not ideal for large pike; rather, it is better suited for perch, zander, and pike up to perhaps 80 cm in length.
The net of the
Floating Net Pro M is rubber-coated and has a mesh size of 12 mm. A mesh size of 6 mm was chosen for the bottom so that weights, for example, do not simply slip through. Larger mesh sizes were deliberately avoided because smaller landing net mesh is gentler on the fins. Thanks to the head size and the long net, even pike over a meter in length fit inside without any problems. The net depth also helps when landing large and lively salmonids (such as sea trout).
