When deadbaiting with bottom rigs, it’s crucial that the pike or zander can take line with as little resistance as possible after striking the bait. That’s exactly why the Fledger Boom Kit was developed. The float, featuring a large upward-facing swivel eye, ensures your line stays off the bottom and the striking fish doesn’t become suspicious as you retrieve. Thanks to the anti-tangle tube, your rig lands cleanly on the bottom after the cast. Tangles are virtually impossible. The included snap swivel, to which you attach your leader, is pulled into the protruding tube section and secured there. When the pike or zander strikes, it simply pulls the tube—which is virtually weightless underwater—along with it. The lead-free, removable 3 g weight (zamak) at the end of the anti-tangle tube keeps your leader held to the bottom as inconspicuously as possible along its entire length. If, for example, you want to fish with pop-up baits and let the entire leader float, you can simply remove the weight. Virtually no other bottom rig ensures a smoother line flow than the Fledger Boom Kit.
