Westin Stand-Up Weight

Upright base weight for clean bait presentation
The Westin Stand-Up Weight is a specially designed bottom weight for pike fishing, which always stands upright on the bottom of the water thanks to its foamed, lead-free construction. This slightly raises the leader and reliably keeps it away from weeds, mud and debris, allowing for controlled and low-resistance bait presentation.

Material and design
The Stand-Up Weight is made of a lead-free material, making it an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional lead weights. The voluminous, foamed design is balanced so that the weight automatically assumes a stable, upright position after sinking. A matt black camouflage coating reduces reflections and ensures that the weight blends inconspicuously into the substrate – an advantage when fishing for cautious or experienced pike.

Function at the bottom of the water
Thanks to its self-righting design, the leader runs upwards from the weight without dragging flat across the bottom. This significantly reduces snags in weeds or soft sediments and keeps the bait cleanly in position. At the same time, resistance when biting is minimised, as the fish does not immediately feel the full weight. This is particularly helpful when fishing with dead bait fish, where the pike should first take the bait and then pull away.

Integrated swivel free-running system
The Stand-Up Weight has a tangle-free swivel free-running system for attaching the main line or leader. This allows the line to run freely when the fish bites and at the same time prevents the rig from twisting when casting or in a slight current. The result is a smooth-running, reliable pike rig with high practical benefits – both from the shore and from a boat.
