Korda Hook Kamakura Wide Gape X

The Kamakura grinding process produces a hook point that is just as good as a hand-ground hook, but without you having to spend the time and effort to do it yourself. You can count on these hooks being perfect every time, straight from the box.

The Kamakura Wide Gape X is a reinforced version of the classic pattern, with thicker wire, but with a much sharper, finer point than the standard Wide Gape X. It is likely that you will need to change your hook after every fish you catch as the tips are delicate.

It has a slightly inward-curving eye, a short shank, a heavily forged bend and a beak-like point. The Kamakura Wide Gape X can be used for a variety of different pop up and groundbait presentations and once hooked, it tends to stay in.

The tips are protected by wax which needs to be carefully removed before use. They come in a box that holds each hook securely. There are ten hooks in each box. The barbed and non-barbed hooks are available in sizes 4, 6 and 8.
