Westin W3 3000 FD
Construction & Technology
The Westin W3 spinning reel is designed for heavy loads in fresh and salt water and features a torsion-resistant aluminum housing combined with a lightweight carbon fiber rotor. This basic structure ensures precise gear alignment and smooth, powerful running even under heavy loads. A 7+1 stainless steel ball bearing system supports smooth rotation and increases the reel's service life.
Drive & brake system
Inside, a CNC-machined brass gearbox with a stainless steel main shaft ensures reliable power transmission. The carbon brake system delivers smooth, heat-resistant braking performance and remains stable even during long fights. An instant-action anti-reverse mechanism enables direct, backlash-free hooksets. The IPX5 seal effectively protects sensitive components from water and dirt.
Line guide & application
The double-anodized aluminum spool is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and designed for clean line lay and long casts. A smooth ceramic line roller reduces friction and line twist, especially with braided lines. The one-piece CNC aluminum handle with TPR knob ensures a secure grip and controlled power transfer. This makes the W3 a robust spinning reel for predator fishing in freshwater as well as for demanding applications in coastal and brackish water.
