Concept & Design
The Westin W2 spinning reel is a lightweight yet highly torsion-resistant fixed spool reel with a carbon housing and rotor, designed for smooth running and reliable performance in fresh and salt water. Its low weight combined with high rigidity ensures good balance, high sensitivity, and fatigue-free fishing even during longer sessions.

Technology & Brake System
Inside, a CNC-machined brass gear, zinc drive gear, and stainless steel main shaft work together to ensure precise, long-lasting power transmission. The 5+1 stainless steel ball bearings support smooth, low-vibration running. The finely adjustable carbon brake system delivers constant braking power without jerking, while the IPX5 protection class reliably protects the brake unit from water and dirt.

Operation & application
The simple anodized aluminum spool ensures clean line management and good casting properties, while the instantaneous anti-reverse system enables direct, secure hooksets. A robust aluminum handle provides a secure grip even when wet. Designed for all types of water and with a wide range of models, the W2 is suitable for a wide variety of fishing techniques – from sensitive finesse fishing to use with stronger lures.
