50N buoyancy
50N buoyancy and classified as a flotation aid. A life jacket with a buoyancy rating of 50 Newtons is classified as a flotation aid and is sometimes referred to as a sailing jacket. It has a slightly simpler design than a life jacket.

Features of the buoyancy aid
A 50N life jacket keeps you well afloat, but it lacks a collar to support your head. It distributes the buoyancy more evenly between the front and back and therefore does not guarantee that it will turn an unconscious person onto their back.

Recommended for swimmers
The 50N life jacket is therefore recommended for swimmers weighing at least 25 kg.
