TX-5A Carp TX-5 12 ft 2,75 lb

The TX-5 rods fit perfectly into the popular TX rod family. With outstanding design and excellent performance thanks to the latest carbon technologies, these rods offer a superb balance of finesse and power. Anyone for whom the appearance of their rods is just as important as their overall performance will be delighted by the TX-5 rod series, as these gems look absolutely stunning. And the quality and performance leave nothing to be desired either. With their power reserves, the slim and astonishingly light Intensity models open up new possibilities for long-distance casting, whilst the finesse of the rod tips on all models provides absolute confidence and pure fighting enjoyment during the fight. At the heart of the TX-5 is a slim full-carbon blank, optimised using Nanosheet and Biofibre technology and reinforced with a 3K weave.

The use of ultra-light PacBay Minima guides improves action and tip speed during the cast, further optimising maximum casting distance. And as if that weren’t enough, a 3K reel seat completes the 3K polymer Winn Grip handle of these rods, giving them a stunning look. The six available models in the rod series perfectly cover every conceivable scenario in carp fishing. The 10ft model, available with a 3lb test curve or as an Intensity version, is ideal for small waters or for fishing from a boat.

This is Shimano’s first 10ft Intensity carp rod, which, despite its short length, can catapult a 4oz lead over 180m! The rod series also includes three 12ft models, including an Intensity version for long-range casting. But when it comes to ultimate casting distance, there is nothing better than the 13ft Intensity model, which is unbeatable in terms of casting distance. With a combination of stunning design and excellent performance, the TX-5 achieves a level of quality that sets completely new standards in the mid-price rod sector.
