Zeck Finesse Screw Hook

Zeck developed this hook in collaboration with VMC, based on Johannes Dietel’s specifications. Since perch fishing is the primary application for the Finesse Screw Hook, they paid special attention to sharpness during the development phase. The wire gauge was deliberately chosen to be slightly thinner in order to achieve maximum sharpness. However, the hook is not too thin either. After all, the Finesse Screw Hook should also be able to handle bycatches of large zander or even pike. It has proven this time and again during the testing phase. The barb is quite small. Together with the “slippery” PTFE coating, this also helps the hook penetrate the fish’s mouth beautifully. A smaller barb is also perch-friendly. But don’t worry—the barb is large enough to ensure the point remains securely anchored in the mouth, even when the fish is shaking its head violently. In addition to use on the Rushka and Cheburashka, you can also use this offset hook for drop-shot fishing, on Carolina, Texas, Free, and Kickback rigs, for soft jerking, or for numerous other applications in perch fishing. The Finesse Screw Hook is equipped with a removable bait spiral as a bait keeper.

Your bait remains intact and sits rock-solid in the perfect position on the hook. Thanks to the clip on the front eye, you can also easily remove the spiral from the hook. Depending on your needs, you thus have the option to fish with or without the bait spiral. The lower “resin knob” at the bend of the offset hook also serves as a sort of bait holder for the head of the soft plastic lure when rigged directly. The bait spiral is secured by two “resin knobs” between the hook eye and the shank. The front knob simultaneously closes the sharp-edged slit at the lower end of the eye. When you tie the Finesse Screw Hook directly to your leader using certain methods, you run no risk of the fluorocarbon or even thin steel being damaged or getting caught at this point. The eye size has been designed so that the hook fits perfectly with Zeck’s Rushka system and can also be used with the conventional Cheburashka. Nevertheless, it is delicate enough that the Finesse Screw Hook is also suitable for rigs where the hook is attached directly to the leader.
