Zeck Circle Striker

Circle hooks like the Circle Striker are used whenever setting the hook isn’t so easy. That’s because the Circle Striker rotates into the fish’s mouth all on its own when pressure is applied. The Circle Striker can be a great help when fishing at long range, when using a guide, or even when casting upstream. It is important that you truly avoid setting the hook and only apply pressure to the fish. The listed bend width refers to the distance between the two sides at the level of the barb, not the distance between the hook point and the shank. A circle hook only makes sense if it is used as the sole hook on the leader (exception: hair rigs). The bait should therefore not be too large. Bait weighing over 500 g is not recommended. The smaller the bait, the better the Circle Striker can rotate and set the hook.
