Softshell: Stay Dry and Warm by the Water

Softshell is a technical material, usually made of polyester, nylon, and elastane, developed specifically for outdoor clothing and offering an ideal combination of weather protection, mobility, and comfort. The DWR coating keeps out light rain and splashing water, the material is wind-repellent and reduces the wind chill effect, breathable so moisture and body heat can escape, and elastic thanks to its elastane content for maximum freedom of movement. The soft lining is heat-insulating, softshell is robust, light, and easy to care for. For sustained heavy rain, a hardshell layer is recommended as a supplement.
