Skirted Jig (Moor Kiwi)

The Skirted Jig makes your soft plastic lure even more enticing when fishing for bass, walleye, pike, and other species. The Skirted Jig shows its advantages even when the lure is simply resting on the bottom. Even the slightest water turbulence sets the jig’s fringes in motion, making even slowly retrieved lures even more enticing. The increased water resistance caused by the fringes also ensures a longer sinking phase, during which micro-vibrations and light reflections occur, further enhancing the lure’s catchability. This Skirted Jig is a true value-for-money gem with numerous advantages. To protect you from snags, the Skirted Jig is equipped with a weed guard. These bristles have been deliberately chosen to be rather soft, so that while your hook is protected from weeds and branches, you still won’t have any problems with hook-up rates. When a fish strikes, the bristles are pushed aside, allowing the hook point to penetrate the fish’s mouth. This is not the case with most American or Japanese rubber jigs, as these lures are designed for bass fishing and have weedguards that are too stiff.

With other models, the weedguard must be trimmed or even removed entirely. Such problems are now finally a thing of the past. Zeck’s Skirted Jigs are equipped with extremely sharp and very sturdy hooks from Mustad. This makes them ideal for fishing in cover (where there is weed or sunken trees in the water). You can fight the fish hard without worrying about the hook bending. Furthermore, the dark color of the hook is very inconspicuous. There is a small barb made of metal wire on the shank of the hook. It ensures that all soft plastic lures are held securely on the hook but will not tear under any circumstances. This means you can change your soft plastic lure more frequently without immediately destroying it.

Thanks to the various skirt colors available, you can adapt to different water conditions and light levels. You can choose a skirt color that complements your soft plastic lure well. Of course, you can also use your skirted jig to create a deliberate contrast with the trailer, effectively creating a strike point. The rubber fringes are extremely durable and stretchy. Thanks to their secure attachment, they won’t be damaged or torn off even during fierce strikes and prolonged fights. Due to the jig head’s special tapered stand-up shape, the skirted jig glides effortlessly through branches and still comes to rest on the bottom after sinking. This ensures you get fewer snags and allows your bait to be more easily sucked in by the biting fish. Due to its slightly rounded underside, this rubber jig wobbles a bit on the bottom, which, in combination with the fringes, provides additional attractiveness. The coating on the head is very robust and does not peel off easily. As a result, it retains its subtle color for a very long time.
