Momoi Lure Soul PE (Lime Green, 300 m)

The Lure Soul Cast PE is the best line in the lineup from premium manufacturer Momoi. It’s a top-tier braided line that few products worldwide can rival. Thanks to its special coating, it achieves exceptional casting distance. At the same time, its abrasion resistance is notably impressive given its diameter. The coating lasts an exceptionally long time. The line is soft, very quiet, and colorfast. If you’re still looking for a new favorite braided line and appreciate the value of a good line, you should definitely spool the Lure Soul PE onto your reel. With Momoi’s braided lines, Zeck tends to rely on the PE rating rather than diameter specifications. One reason for this is that braided lines have an uneven cross-section, making it virtually impossible to determine an exact diameter.

The Japanese PE rating categorizes braided lines into different weight classes. This refers not to the line’s breaking strength, but to its own weight. Lines that have the same weight for the same length are in the same PE class. Japanese line manufacturers use tables to determine this. In practice, the PE rating provides significantly more accurate information about the line’s thickness, even though the diameter isn’t measured. Since PE classes may be new to you, we’ve provided an overview here of diameters determined as accurately and honestly as possible. Keep in mind, however, that Momoi lines are significantly thinner due to these honest specifications. Some Momoi braided lines are half as thick as lines from other brands that have the same diameter printed on them.
