7x7 Steel Wire

This extremely soft stainless steel material is, according to Zeck, the best steel leader he has ever held in his hands. It combines all the qualities you could want in a pike-proof leader. In addition to its dark, low-reflective color, the 7x7 steel holds the strands together incredibly well when you cut it, even without preheating. Because it hardly frays at all, it’s very easy to crimp or tie knots in.
